There's definitely other characters I would love to see in Smash, but I really feel like Ice Climbers deserve the first spot in the port (because again, they already had the work done and everything anyways). What better way to do that than add extra content? As the original post mentioned they were functional on the Wii U so it wouldn't take much to include them at all in the port. That being said they'll have to make it worth-while to buy too, you know? They'll want to sell the port and (hopefully) have it influence more people to buy the Switch as well. ![]() The only thing that would get in the way is if the port still had to share similarities with the Wii U/3DS but I find that will be unlikely. If we end up getting a Smash for the Switch, even if it's a port I see no reason why they can't be added in. I was a bit upset that they had to be cut but understood the reason why they had to be. I may of never been an Ice Climber main, but I always enjoyed playing as them when it came to having fun or messing around. I couldn’t get them to work no matter how hard I tried: I removed as many joints as I possibly could, and even when I removed certain effects, like gravity, they still wouldn’t work. The other fighters had to be whittled and pared down until I could get them to work, so it was simply unavoidable. The 3DS was already being pushed to its limit, and I couldn’t get them to work no matter how hard I tried, so I gave up on them. However, moving the two as a pair required significant processing power. Among them are the Ice Climbers, who were playable during development on the Wii U. " Even if I cram in as many fighters as I can, there are some people who are focused on the few who didn’t make it back.
